The final game of the Wild Card round in the NFL Playoffs sees the Dallas Cowboys heading to Florida to take on the Tampa Bay Bucs at Raymond James Stadium. It’s been a strange season for Tampa Bay, who won the Super Bowl in 2021, as an awful start to the regular season saw them treading water all year. Despite the fact that the Bucs finished with a losing record, eight wins and nine losses, the sheer incompetence of the NFC South division allowed Tom Brady’s team to top the division and earn home field advantage in this first round matchup. Tampa Bay enter this game off of a 30-17 loss to the Falcons to cap off their regular season and ensure that they finished below .500. The defeat snapped a two game winning streak for the Buccaneers and means they have now lost three of their last five. 

Standing in their way is a Dallas Cowboys team that had a much more encouraging regular season. Dallas was battling it out in the toughest division in football, the NFC East, where all four teams finished .500 or above. The Cowboys would eventually take second-place in their division with 12 wins and five losses, the same record they put up last season. The visitors will be hoping they do not suffer the same fate as last season though, as they bowed out in the first round to the 49ers on the road. This time around, Dallas should fancy their chances given the inconsistency that the Bucs have shown in the regular season. However, they will still need to be cautious as the Cowboys have managed only four wins and four defeats in their road games this year. The Bucs managed to squeeze out a winning record in front of their home support with five wins from nine games.
