Tallon Griekspoor vs Mikael Ymer Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Libema Open

Sixth seeded Tallon Griekspoor faces unseeded Mikael Ymer in the first round of the Liberia Open. The winner will take on either Arthur Rinderknech or Alexei Popyrin in the second round. Griekspoor begins this grass court tournament 38th in the live rankings. His hope will be to have some good results in the coming weeks and be seeded at Wimbledon. The Dutch player didn't have the best of clay court seasons with his best being a quarter final in Marrakech.  Griekspoor lost in the second round at Roland Garros, losing a 2-1 lead over seeded Hubert Hurkacz. This is his third time in this tournament and so far he's only won one out of three matches. He has won one tournament this year, that was the hard court event held in Pune, India at the start of 2023. Griekspoor also got to the last four in the Rotterdam indoor hard court tournament.

Mikael Ymer is 62nd in the live rankings and lost in the first round at Roland Garros. Hopefully he'll be in a better mood than when being defaulted in Lyon. He's reached one final this year but that was on a hard court and at Challenger Tour level. No players ranked in the top 120 were beaten that week. His only other deep runs this season has been in Adelaide and Bordeaux (again on the Challenger Tour) where he got to the last eight. He has had one meeting with Griekspoor this year, losing to him in Rotterdam. Like his opponent he has never won a grass court title but did lose in the final of the Boy's Singles at Wimbledon eight years ago. We go for Griekspoor to get the win here.
