Top seed Tallon Griekspoor will face seventh seed Luciano Darderi in the championship match at the Marrakech Open on Sunday. The two players will be facing off for the third time in their careers, both seeking the first title for the season. We have a prediction for the match below.

Griekspoor will be playing in his fourth tour final and seeking a third title after Hertogenbosch and Pune last year. To get to his first clay final, the Dutchman saw off qualifier Kamil Majchrzak in straight sets.

That improved his record this year, to 14-6 and he has risen two places up in the live rankings, to 35th.

Darderi has faced Griekspoor two times before and lost on both occasions; at the Paris Masters and Rolland Garros. He will be eyeing revenge, with his confidence fueled by a straight-set win over Roberto Carballes Baena in the semi-finals.

With four straight wins in Marrakech, three being in straight sets, Darderi will definitely give Griekspoor a run for his money. The Italian comes into this game having lost just once in his last nine matches.

He started his journey in Marrakech on a losing record but has now improved to 10-9 for the season. In the live rankings there has also been improvement, Darderi rising six places to settle at 51st.
