Tallon Griekspoor vs Grigor Dimitrov Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP US Open

Ninth seed Grigor Dimitrov attempts to continue his highly consistent record in Grand Slams. He takes on unseeded Tallon Griekspoor in the third round of the hard court  US Open. Read our match prediction below.

Dimitrov has now reached at least the third round in eight consecutive Grand Slam events. The last time he went out before this stage was in the 2022 US Open. The Bulgarian has reached this third round without dropping a set.

Round one saw him defeat qualifier Kyrian Jacquet for the loss of only nine games. He beat that in round two with just eight dropped against unseeded Rinky Hijikata, six of them in the third set tie-break.

The Bulgarian is ninth in the rankings and 13th in the ATP Live Race. He's won one hard court title this year and reached two other finals. This is his first match against Griekspoor and potential next opponents are either Andrey Rublev or Jiri Lehecka.

Tallon Griekspoor beat the 21st seed Sebastian Baez in round two but that match only had nine games played in it. The Dutch player won the first set 6-1 and his opponent retired when 2-0 down in the second.

Before that, Griiekspoor had beaten Sumit Nagal in straight sets, losing only nine games. He's in the third round of this tournament for the first time in his career. Never has he made it to the fourth round of a Grand Slam.

This is a much-needed good week for Griekspoor. Before this US Open, he had lost seven of his last nine matches. He's now 38th in the live rankings. This is tougher for him and we tip Dimitrov to win in straight sets.
