Second seed Casper Ruud faces seventh-seeded Tallon Griekspoor in the Stockholm Open quarter-finals. The semi-finals could see the winner up against third seed Grigor Dimitrov. Here's our match prediction.

Casper Ruud is the world number eight and a place higher in the ATP Race. A couple more wins in this indoor hard court tournament will take him up to sixth and boost his chances of making the end-of-season Tour Finals.

The 25-year-old had lost his last three matches before this tournament. This is his first quarter-final since the Paris Olympics but that was played on clay. He has reached two hard court finals this year.

Ruud has had one match so far in Stockholm and beat unseeded Lorenzo Sonego in straight sets, needing a tie-break in the second. He leads Griekspoor 2-0 in previous meetings, both played on this surface. The most recent win coming in this year's United Cup.

Tallon Griekspoor began this tournament ranked 37th in the world. The Dutchman can move up to 34th if winning this match and is 40th in the ATP Live Race. Griekspoor is in his first quarter-final since a grass court tournament in the Netherlands four months ago.

The 28-year-old tends to get his best results in his homeland with a hard court semi-final in Rotterdam this year. He has had two straight sets wins this week with victories over unseeded Pavel Kotov and qualifier Jacob Fearnley.
