Sweden vs Germany Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro Handball

Germany's dream of winning the Men's European Handball Championships ended when losing to Denmark on Friday. The hosts now take on Sweden in the third and fourth place play-off. It was heartbreaking loss to the reigning world champions as Germany led 14-12 at half time. The Danes fought back like the world champions that they are and eventually won the match 29-26. Germany finished second in their Preliminary Round  winning two of their three games but being beaten by France, who play Denmark in the final. In the Main Round, Germany were playing catch-up as they began with no points. Two wins, a draw and a loss to Croatia saw them finish second and go into that match against Denmark. 

Sweden's grip on the European title was finally loosened on Friday. The defending champions were beaten by France after extra time. A disastrous first half saw Sweden go into the break 17-11 down. A great second half comeback saw the game end 27-27 at the end of normal time. They couldn't keep up the good work though and France ran out the 34-30 winners to dethrone the champions. Sweden won all three of their Preliminary Round matches but then lost to both Denmark and Norway in the Main Round. The loss to France in the semi-finals was their third loss in four games.  Now comes this third and fourth place play-off and the big question is how will the players cope with this most unwanted of matches.
