Sweden face Bosnia and Herzegovina in Group E of the 2024 Men's European Handball Championships. The top two in this group qualify for the main round with the other teams being the Netherlands and Georgia. Sweden are the overwhelming favorites to win this match so we need to go down the handicap route for a bet with decent odds. The Swedes have won this European title on five previous occasions with four of the triumphs coming in the first five stagings of the tournament between 1994 and 2002. They had to wait twenty years for their next title and come into this tournament as the reigning European champions. Since then they have finished fourth in last year's World Cup. The Swedes have a hugely experienced squad and have five players who have won at least 100 caps. They'll be looking for more goals from Jim Gottfridsson, Hampus Wanne and Andras Nilsson who have over 1100 international goals between them.

Bosnia and Herzegovina have it all to do to get their campaign off to a good start. This is only their third appearance in the finals of the Men's European Handball Championships. Their previous two appearances were in 2020 and 2022 with six games played, all ending in defeat and an exit in the preliminary round. They've also only appeared in one World Championship eight years ago, losing four of their five matches. We back Sweden to win this match on a -12.5 goal handicap.
