It will be a battle of the qualifiers at the WTA Osaka when Suzan Lamens and Ana Bogdan square off on Friday. The two will clash in the quarter-finals and here are some defining stats and a prediction of the match.

Lamens defeated Lucia Bronzetti in the second round to continue her exciting run in Osaka. The Dutch national has won all four of her matches here, starting from the qualifying rounds, via straight sets.

Bogdan, who finished as runner-up in Cluj earlier in the year, has also been in spectacular form in Osaka. She is yet to lose a set after four rounds of play.

To advance to this level, the Romanian defeated fourth Marie Bouzkova 6-0, 7-6. The 19th win of her season saw her move four places in the live ranking to 107th.

Bogdan has featured predominantly in the tour this season and has now won more than two main draw matches four times. The winner here will play Greet Minnen, Diane Parry or Clara Tauson next.
