Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Prediction & Betting Tips - Indian Premier League
by Devesh Jaganath in Cricket Predictions
The second-from-bottom Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on fifth-placed Royal Challengers Bangalore in match 65 of 74 in the IPL on Thursday afternoon. The hosts have already been knocked out of the tournament with two games to go having only managed eight points in 12 matches. Sunrisers are six points behind the Mumbai Indians in fourth place and level with the Delhi Capitals at the foot of the table. The Sunriser's fate was sealed in their last match, where they lost to the Lucknow Super Giants by 7 wickets after posting 182/6 in their 20 overs. Heinrich Klaasen top-scored with 47 runs in 29 balls, but their major downfall, as it has been for most of the tournament, was in the bowling department. The Sunriser's bowling attack only managed to knock over three wickets in 19.2 overs, with Glenn Phillips being the only bowler to go for less than seven runs per over in his spell. Despite being knocked out, the Sunrisers will want to finish their tournament on a high though they may find it difficult against a ruthless RCB top order.
Meanwhile, the Royal Challengers Bangalore were thrown a lifeline after Mumbai failed to overcome the Lucknow Super Giants in their last match. The visitors are now just two points behind Mumbai in the fourth and final knockout qualification place and are the only side in the top half of the table with two games left to play. A win for RCB in this one will see them overtake Mumbai into fourth courtesy of a better net run rate; however, they have failed to win any of their last three matches on the road. The visitors pulled off a win by the biggest margin of the tournament in the last match, bowling the Rajasthan Royals out for a meager 59 runs in response to the 171-run target they set. The South African duo of Faf du Plessis and Wayne Parnell headlined for RCB, with du Plessis scoring 55 runs in 44 balls to retain the orange cap with 631 runs in the tournament to date. Parnell led the bowling attack picking up three wickets for just 10 runs as they bundled their opposition out in just 10.3 overs. A convincing win like that came at just the right time for the Royal Challengers, and it will give them huge confidence to go on and snatch a top-four finish at the death.

Our Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Prediction
While the Royal Challengers will be full of confidence coming into this match, their away record has not been great in this tournament. However, their opponents have been very poor with the ball in recent weeks, and the likes of Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli will be licking their lips at the prospect of another big score. The South African has been the more consistent of the two in this tournament, and we fancy him to have another solid knock in this one. Our Sunrisers Hyderabad v Royal Challengers Bangalore prediction is: Faf du Plessis to score over 28.5 runs.
