Match 2 at the 2025 Indian Premier League will see the Sunrisers Hyderabad taking on the Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on Sunday. SRH were beaten finalists last year, while RR were eliminated in the playoffs. Let’s get into the match prediction!
The Sunrisers Hyderabad will kick off their campaign this weekend looking to go one better than they did last season when they were beaten by KKR by eight wickets in the final.
SRH have not won the IPL since 2016 - their only title since joining the competition - but last season marked the first time that they reached the postseason in four years, which was a major step forward.
The hosts boast a formidable lineup led by Pat Cummins, while the skipper also has two national teammates in Adam Zampa and Travis Head to call upon, in addition to Proteas’ big hitter Heinrich Klaasen.

RR have not won the IPL since the inaugural season back in 2008 and Kumar Sangakkara and co have opted to make wholesale changes to the squad for this campaign, most notably releasing Jos Buttler.
The experienced trio of Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult were also released. However, the team does still have plenty of class in their ranks with the likes of Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
