Match 7 at the 2025 Indian Premier League will see the Sunrisers Hyderabad take on the Lucknow Super Giants at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on Thursday. LSG lead the league standings after the first round, while LSG are fifth. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The Sunrisers Hyderabad were arguably the pick of the teams during the first round of matches in this season’s IPL, as they secured a comprehensive 44-run victory over Rajashtan last week. 

Batting first, SRH posted a target of 256/6 - the second-highest in the history of the IPL - with Ishan Kishan basting 106* off just 47 balls and Travis Head adding 67 off 31 balls. 

The Sunrisers also have plenty of firepower with ball in hand. Mohammed Shami and Simarjeet Singh are likely to share the new ball, while the Aussie duo of Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa will aim to keep things tight in the middle overs. 

Meanwhile, the Lucknow Super Giants suffered a tough defeat in their opening match of the competition, losing to the Delhi Capitals by a single wicket and three balls remaining.

There were several positives that LSG would have taken from that match, though, especially the performances of Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran, who both scored half-centuries. 

The Super Giants have won three of the previous four meetings between these teams, but the most recent clash saw them get hammered for a 10-wicket defeat last season.
