The hosts are currently in fourth place in the league standings, while the visitors are eighth. This marks the first season since GT joined the IPL that they have failed to reach the knockout stage. All that’s left to play for is pride and individual accolades for GT. Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill are currently in fourth and tenth place, respectively, in the race for the orange cap and will want to sign off from the competition on a high note. The Titans beat this opponent by seven runs earlier in the competition but are the clear outsiders in this one.
