The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium will be the venue for match 34 of 74 in the Indian Premier League, and it will feature the Sunrisers Hyderabad taking on the Delhi Capitals on Monday afternoon. The hosts will be hoping to bounce back from arguably their worst performance of the tournament in their last match, where they lost to CSK by seven wickets and eight balls to spare. With that loss, SRH slipped to second-from-bottom on the table after six matches, with a record of two wins and four losses, along with a net run rate of -0.794. Harry Brook remains as one of only two players that have scored a century in this tournament, though the Englishman has failed to impress in any of the other five innings he’s played in. Mayank Markande is the only bowler that has shone for SRH, taking nine wickets in four matches in the IPL this year. Against the only side with a worse record in this one, SRH will see this as a perfect opportunity to bring an end to their 2-match winless run and move away from the bottom of the table. 

Meanwhile, the Delhi Capitals got their IPL campaign off to the absolute worst possible start, suffering five consecutive defeats in their first five matches. However, they finally managed to register their first points of the tournament in their last match when they pulled off an unexpected win over the Kolkata Knight Riders, though it wasn’t enough to move them off the bottom of the table, now with two points and a net run rate of -1.183 after the first six matches. DC’s main struggle has been with the ball this tournament, where no bowler has averaged better than one wicket per match. With the bat, however, David Warner has been immense, currently second in the orange cap standings, with 285 runs in six innings, including four half-centuries. He also leads the way in fours struck in the tournament with 42 boundaries to his name. With just four points separating them and a qualifier spot, and eight matches left to play, the Capitals are not out of it just yet, and a couple more wins will put them right back in the mix.
