Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Nicolás Jarry Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Italian Open

Sixth seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas is in his third quarter-final of the European clay court swing. He faces the 21st seed Nicolas Jarry for a place in the last four. The winner of this match will be up against either seventh seeded Hubert Hurkacz or the 14th seed Tommy Paul. Tsitsipas has an excellent record in this outdoor clay court tournament. Last year saw him reach the semi-finals and he made the final in 2022. Already this year he’s won in Monte Carlo and lost in the Barcelona final. He’s had a tough draw so far with Jan-Lennard Struff, Cameron Norrie and Alex de Minaur being his opponents. The world number eight is down a place in the live rankings and sixth in the ATP Race. Beating Jarry will take him up to fifth in the latter list.

Nicolas Jarry is up to 26th in the Live ATP Race after reaching this quarter-final. In the live ATP rankings, he’s 22nd but was as high as 18th in January. It’s been a welcome return to form for him in Rome. In South America earlier this year, he made it to the final of the Buenos Aires clay court tournament and also the last eight in Santiago. His form has dipped in recent weeks though. His first three European clay court tournaments saw him fail to win a match. It’s gone much better for him in Rome but he’s not had the most difficult of draws. His three wins have included one against wild card Stefano Napolitano (who he lost a set to) and in round four, qualifier Alexandre Muller. He leads Tsitsipas 3-2 in previous meetings but lost their only match played on clay. We tip Tsitsipas to win this match.
