Greece are one of the favorites to win the United Cup. They begin their campaign with a Group B match against Chile. The other country in this group is Canada who beat Chile 2-1 in their opening match. Now Stefanos Tsitsipas takes on Nicolas Jarry with the other singles match seeing Maria Sakkari face lowly ranked Daniela Seguel. With Sakkari strongly fancied to win this match, a win for Tsitsipas would see the Greeks get the win. They reached the semi-finals of the inaugural United Cup and should again go well. Tsitsipas is currently ranked sixth in the world and is playing his first tournament since retiring injured in the ATP Finals. Before that he'd got to the last four of three successive tournaments.

Nicolas Jarry is ranked 19th in the world and that's his best ever ranking. His form on clay has been the main reason the Chilean has got so high in the world rankings. 2023 didn't end so well for Jarry with his last two tournaments seeing him fail to get past round two. Not since October has he got to the quarter final of a tournament. He was the only player to win for Chile against Canada. Rather than taking on Felix Auger-Aliassime, he played Steven Diez who is ranked 314th and who he beat in straight sets. Jarry has won three of his five previous matches against Tsitsipas and they are 2-2 for 2023. We tip Tsitsipas to get a win for the Greeks.
