Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Milos Raonic Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP US Open

Seventh seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas has a tricky first round match in the 2023 US Open. He's up against Milos Raonic who can still fight it out with the best when in top form. The winner of this match will be up against either Alexei Popyrin or qualifier Dominick Stricker in round two. Tsitsipas won the Los Cabos Open as he began his preparation for this hard court Grand Slam tournament. It's not gone so well for him since though and he failed to get past the last 16 in Toronto and Cincinnati. He's had a good year with one title won and three finals reached. In Grand Slams, he was the runner-up in Australian, got the last eight at Roland Garros and the fourth round at Wimbledon. His best performance in the US Open is a couple of third round appearances in 2020 and 2021 but lost in the first round here 12 months ago.

Milos Raonic has never lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas. He's won both of their previous two meetings and although they were on hard courts, the most recent was three years ago. Raonic is playing only his fourth tournament of the year and two of the three so far were on grass where he's a former Wimbledon finalist.  The 32-year-old is down at 337th in the rankings as he didn't play last year. He did recently beat Frances Tiafoe in Washington. This is the only Grand Slam in which he hasn't reached at least the quarter finals. It's only the second time since 2018 that Raonic has played in the US Open. It's a tricky match for the seed but we believe that Tsitsipas can get the win.
