Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Karen Khachanov Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Monte Carlo Masters

We'll definitely have a player seeded outside of the top ten in the Monte Carlo semifinals. 12th seed Stefanos Tsitsipas faces the 15th seed Karen Khachanov in the last eight of this outdoor clay court tournament. Tsitsipas has won this Masters 1000 tournament twice in the past. Those wins came in 2021 and 2022 and he lost at this stage last year. His form hasn't been that great this year and a win over Khachanov will take him into only his second semifinal of 2024 and his first on clay. He is a Monte Carlo resident and playing here seems to inspire him. So far in this tournament he's won three matches, all in straight sets. Only one game was dropped against Tomas Martin Etcheverry and he then knocked out fifth seeded Alexander Zverev. He leads Khachanov 7-1 in previous meetings and won their only clay court match in Rome two years ago.

Karen Khachanov is 17th in the rankings, five places below his opponent. He's a two-time Roland Garros quarterfinalist but this is his first last eight appearance in Monte Carlo. The Russian has won one ATP tournament this year, the hard court event held in Doha. On clay, he's never reached the final of an ATP Tour event. It's been a tough route for him to this quarterfinal in Monte Carlo. Round one saw him take 144 minutes to beat Cameron Norrie and they only played two sets. He then had to come from a set down to get past unseeded Francisco Cerundolo. A big shock was caused in his last match as he beat fourth seed Daniil Medvedev (not always at his best on clay) in straight sets. Tsitsipas looks in great form and we tip him to win this match.
