Stefanos Tsitsipas takes on Daniil Medvedev and both players need to win this match. Tsitsipas is seeded second and is the highest remaining seed after Rafael Nadal's early exit. The Greek lost his first match in this group, being beaten in straight sets by Novak Djokovic. His final group game will be against Andrey Rublev who already has one win this week. Tsitsipas began this week ranked third but is down to fourth in the live rankings. A win over Mededev will take him back above Casper Ruud (already in the last four of these APT Tour Finals). Tsitsipas won this title in 2019 but has failed to reach the semi-finals since then. He's played in seven ATP Tour Finals this year but only won two of them and neither win was in a hard court tournament. He hasn't won a tournament on this surface since March 2021.

This is the 11th ATP Tour match played between Medvedev and Tsitsipas. Medvedev leads 7-3 but has lost two of their last three matches. The most recent clash was in Cincinnati with the Greek winning in three sets. Medvedev has the slight advantage over Tsitsipas in the group standings. He also lost his first group match but at least he won one set. That was the openng one but Rublev fought back to get the win. Medvedev is also a former winner of this title. He won the Tour Finals in 2020 and lost to Alexander Zverev in the final last year. He's only won two ttles this year with the most recent beng last month.  Go for over 22.5 games to be played in what should be a tight match.
