We should have an exciting Monte Carlo Masters final ahead of us on Sunday. Fourth seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas takes on Andrey Rublev, who is seeded one place below him. Tsitsipas now lives in Monte Carlo, so he'll be out to win his home title, even if he is Greek. This is the second final he's competed in this year. His semi-final win over Daniel Evans was the fourth last four appearance of 2021. His only other final this year saw him lose to Alexander Zverev in Mexico. Even if he wins this match he will remain the world number five. However, in terms of points earned this calendar year, a win would take him to number one, jumping over Rublev. Tsitsipas is yet to drop a set in this match and only lost three games against Evans in Saturday's semi-final. This is his seventh match against Rublev on the ATP circuit and they have shared the first six. Rublev beat Tsitsipas in Rotterdam this year but on clay their most recent match saw Tsitsipas beat the Russian in the 2020 French Open.

Andrey Rublev will move up to seventh in the world rankings after his efforts this week. A win in the final will see him go to sixth and still be number one points scorer this year. He has reached at least the quarter final of every event he has played this year. He even managed to reach the last four in Doha without playing a match thanks to two walkovers. His match with Casper Ruud on Saturdaywas his fifth straight semi-final. He won the Rotterdam tournament and has beaten Rafael Nadal on his way to this final. This really is a close match to call, Tsitsipas looks in great form and is yet to drop a set. He won his last match against Rublev on clay, a straight sets win in the French Open last year. Go for the Greek to win the title.
