He's not made it into the semi-finals since that title victory. He's the second seed for these ATP Tour Finals and the highest remaining one after the exit of Rafael Nadal. He needs to reach the final to end the year second in the world rankings. Losing this match could see him drop from third to fourth if Casper Ruud wins his semi-final.

Andrey Rublev has never made it out of the round-robin stage. This week has seen him come from behind to beat Medvedev but then only win five games against Novak Djokovic. To reach the semi-finals, he will have to defeat Stefanos Tsitsipas for the first time this year. The pair have met in Madrid and Astana with both being won in three sets by the Greek. He now leads Rublev 6-4 in previous meetings, though it's 3-3 in matches played on hard courts. Tsitsipas looks to be in the better form, go for him to win this match.
