Week 14 of 26 in the Top 14 will conclude with Toulouse taking on Bayonne at Stade Ernest-Wallon on Saturday evening. The hosts are currently in fourth place in the tournament standings, while the visitors are down in tenth. Toulouse slipped in the standings last weekend when they were beaten 27-20 by current leaders Racing 92. That result marked the defending champions fifth defeat in the Top 14 this season but they did manage to hold on to a bonus point, keeping them within striking distance of the sides above them. Notably, the first five teams in the competition all have the same record of eight wins and five losses, though Racing has claimed eight bonus points, which puts them on 40 points in total. Toulouse’s last home match came against Bath in the European Champions Cup and ended in a 31-19 victory. With that, the hosts are now unbeaten in a whopping 30 matches at home dating back to April 2022. 

Meanwhile, Bayonne moved up the rankings last week when they managed a hard-fought 21-17 win over Oyonnax at home. That followed a more straightforward 40-17 win over Exeter in the European Champions Cup, though that was not enough for them to qualify for the next round as they finished fifth in their group. In this competition, the visitors have recorded six wins and seven losses, earning four bonus points in that time. However, all indicators suggest that they are going to struggle here as they have failed to win a single of their last 20 away games in all competitions, losing 18 and drawing just two. The last time Bayonne won a match on the road was in November 2022 against Clermont Auvergne.
