Stade Francais face Bordeaux Begles in the second of the Top 14 play-offs. The winners will be up against either Toulouse or Stade Rochelais in the final, those two sides meeting on Friday evening. This match is being played at the Stade Matmut-Atlantique which is in Bordeaux but not the regular home ground of the Begles. Stade Francais finished second in the main Top 14 season, a point behind Toulouse. They had led the table for a large part of the season but lost three of their last five matches. Stade Francais won 11 of their 13 home games with just the one defeat. It was a different story for them when playing away from home. They won six games (more than any other side in the table) but were beaten on seven occasions. That included four of the last five played with the only win coming against Montpellier who finished one from bottom in the table. These two sides met in March with Bordeaux winning that home game 31-28. 

Whereas Stade Francais received a bye through to this semi-final, Bordeaux had to play a quarter-final match. That saw them beat Racing 92 with a comfortable 31-17 victory. They finished third in the final main season table and were six points behind Stade Francais. Bordeaux won 11 of their 13 home games but struggled on the road with four wins and nine losses including four of the last five. They have ended the season in better form than their opponents.  A form guide for the last five league games had them in second with Stade Francais down in 12th. Five of their last seven games have been won and we back them to reach the final.
