Stade Francais Paris lost the lead in Top 14 last week. They are second in the table and now host Bordeaux Begles who are in third place. The home side trail Stade Toulousain by three points with the same number of games of the main season remaining. Only four points separate them from Bordeaux and that makes this a vital game in term of the play-offs as the top two go straight into the semi-finals  Last week saw Stade Francais Paris lose 49-18 at new leaders Stade Toulousain. Before that they'd also lost in Top 14 away at Clermont. They will relish being back on home soil where nine of their 11 league fixtures. The last four have all been won  Two of their last three main season games are at home with the other being against RC Toulonnais who are currently fourth in the table.

Bordeaux Begles are attempting to make it four wins in a row in Top 14. Last weekend saw them get an impressive home victory at home to Stade Rochelais. They are eight points clear of seventh-placed so a place in the play-offs is almost secured. While they have won ten out of 12 home games in Top 14, Bordeaux have lost seven out of 11 on their travels. Even with that many losses they have the third best away record in Top 14.
