St. Louis Blues vs Philadelphia Flyers Prediction & Betting Tips - NHL

The 23-14-6 Philadelphia Flyers are in St Louis on Tuesday morning to take on the 21-18-2 Blues. This is the final game of a four-game home stand for the Blues, and the 8th game in the last 10 that they have enjoyed at the Enterprise Center. They have gone 4-3 in the first seven of those home games, losing to the Colorado Avalanche, Florida Panthers and most recently the Boston Bruins. There was no disgrace in those, although the 1-5 loss to the Panthers was below par given they had won 4-1 in Florida just a fortnight before. The wins came against the Dallas Stars, Vancouver Canucks and New York Rangers so they have shown they are capable of hanging with anyone on their day. 8-4-1 since Drew Bannister took over behind the bench from Craig Berube, they are still a bottom-six team in terms of goals scored so they need to find the net more often.
A 2-0 win over the Winnipeg Jets was an excellent outing last time for the Flyers, winning four of their last five games. Only the Vancouver Canucks have picked up more points than the Jets and the Flyers were the first team in 11 games to win in Winnipeg within the 60 minutes. They are only two points off the Rangers who are atop the Metropolitan Division so they are enjoying their best season for more than a decade. That was the last time that they were genuine contenders and while there is plenty of work to do in the second half of the season if they are to be a contender, they are at least in line for a playoff spot. Joel Farabee has come of age this season, notching up 33 points so far. His career high was 39 last year so he is well on track to set his career best within the next 10 games. Sean Couturier needs one more assist to reach 300 for his career, picking up five in his last six games. He has had a couple of down years but has taken a small step back in the right direction this season.
