Spain have had a great summer in sport but their women's Olympic Handball team is in deep trouble. Las Guerreras have lost all three of their Group B matches and now take on Hungary. Here's our prediction for the match.
The Spaniards finished ninth in the last Olympic Games held three years ago. Equalling or bettering that result looks unlikely after a disappointing campaign so far. They began by losing to Brazil by an 11-goal margin.
The Spanish side led at the break against Angola but ended up losing by five goals. Tuesday saw another defeat as they were beaten 29-24 by the Netherlands and are bottom of the group. After this match they face France so it's tough to see them get in the top four and qualify.
Hungary have won their last two matches against Spain, the last win coming at the 2022 European Championships. They have three points from as many games and a win here should see them go into the last eight.
Their campaign began with a loss to France and they then trailed Brazil in their second match. Hungary fought back well to win that match by a solitary goal. On Tuesday, they took on Angola and ended up drawing that match. The last Olympics saw them reach the last eight. We tip them to beat Spain.
