South Africa vs West Indies Prediction & Betting Tips - ICC Mens T20 International

After a test series win and a draw in the ODI’s, South Africa will resume duty against the West Indies, this time in the shortest format of the game when the sides meet for the first of three T20I matches on Saturday at Supersport Park Cricket Stadium. South Africa is ranked fourth according to the ICC World T20 rankings and comes into this tournament having won four of their last five T20 matches. South Africa slumped to a poor defeat in the second ODI, following a washed-out first match but bounced back well in the final ODI, chasing down the 261-run target in just over 29 overs. Heinrich Klaasen fired 119 in just 61 balls, while each of the six bowlers used chipped in with wickets. Aiden Markram will lead the Proteas for the first time in his career in this match and will be hoping that he can navigate his side to a win on his captaincy debut. 

West Indies, meanwhile, showed their inconsistency yet again in the ODIs, unable to follow up an excellent display in the second ODI with anything of substance in the third match. Opener Brandon King provided the only positive to take from the match by putting on a hard-fought 72 runs in as many balls with wickets tumbling all around him. The West Indies have not played in a T20I since the World Cup last year, where they only managed one win in three matches, which included losses to the likes of Scotland and Ireland. The visitors have the ability to be explosive on their day but will find it difficult to secure a victory against a South African side that has a plethora of young talent in their ranks.
