South Africa vs Wales Prediction & Betting Tips - World Cup
by | in Rugby Predictions
After their disastrous opening game against Japan, South Africa's hopes of winning the tournament looked to be on very shaky ground. However, since that loss they have picked themselves up, dusted themselves down and come back fighting. Impressive wins over Samoa, Scotland and the USA saw them score 144 points and concede just 22 (16 of them in a 34-16 win over Scotland). That's the way to fight back from a terrible start and the South African camp must now be full of confidence for the battles that lie ahead of them. Wales had another tough game against Australia losing narrowly 15-6. That was another bruising battle and the ever-growing Welsh injury list has two more additions. Liam Williams and Jamie Roberts are injury doubts for this quarter final with Williams rated the most doubtful of the pair having possibly re-injured the foot that required an operation in the summer. South Africa have a good record against Wales though they did lose to them last autumn. A World Cup quarter final means a lot more than an autumn international and the South Africans are deserved favourites to beat Wales and reach the semi-finals where they will most likely meet defending champions New Zealand.
