South Africa vs England Prediction & Betting Tips - Third Test
by Steve Ashfield | in Cricket Predictions
England have a habit of losing and then bouncing back with a win and that's just what they did in the second test against South Africa. There are two games remaining and England go into thiis next match again with injury and illness problems. Jack Leach has had to return home due to illness and James Anderson will miss the rest of the series. Jofra Archer has been ruled out of this game with Mark Wood is his likely replacement. Wood is a more than capable fast bowler at his best but he is injury prone and this will be his first test in 11 months.
South Africa may call up Dane Peterson for this match with the likely players to be dropped being either spinner Kashav Maharaj or all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius. The pressure is on South African captain Faf du Plessis who is in terrible form with the bat, having scored only 79 runs in his last seven test innings. South Africa relied a lot on their opening batsmen in the second test with both Malan and Elgar scoring half centuries. Not all of their batsmen are in good form though and England's lower order hasn't been producing as many runs as in recent tests. The pitch will be dry and reverse swing is expected. That could well tip the scales in the favour of England, so back them to win this match.

Our South Africa vs England Prediction
This series is tied at 1-1 after the first two tests with two remaining. Neither side are in great form coming into this game with form worries over several players including South Africa's captaiin. He may not last too much longer in that job if South Africa lose this series. England will hope that Sibley, Root, Stokes and Pope again make good contributions and their bowlers make use of the conditions. Bet on England to win this test.
