Lorenzo Sonego vs Miomir Kecmanovic Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Indian Wells

Lorenzo Sonego begins his Indian Wells campaign with a first round match against Miomir Kecmanovic. Both players are unseeded in this Masters 1000 outdoor hard court tournament. Awaiting the winner in round two is the 28th seed Cameron Norrie. Sonego is 55th in the ranking list that was published on Monday but has been as high as 21st four years ago. The Italian has never made it past the second round of this tournament and lost in his first match last year. 2024 has been a bit of a struggle for him so far. He lost both of his matches in the United Cup and then lost in the last 16 in Adelaide. Better form was shown in the Australian Open with a win over Dan Evans and then taking Carlos Alcaraz to four sets. Three successive matches were lost before a win in Dubai last week and then took Daniil Medvedev to three sets.

This is the seventh match between these two players and they are level at 3-3. This is only their second meeting on a hard court with Kecmanovic beating Sonego in the 2022 Australian Open. He's ranked 47th in the world, 20 below the career high he achieved in January of last year. So far in 2024, he's shown good form on hard courts. The last 16 was reached in the Australian Open where he also lost to Alcaraz. Before that he'd beaten Jan-Lennard Struff and Tommy Paul. Four matches in a row were lost before a return to form in Acapulco whee he got to the last eight. He can get the win here.
