Slovenia will get their 2024 Paris Olympics tournament underway when they take on Canada on Sunday afternoon. The Dragons are ranked fourth in the world standings, while the Canucks are ninth. Let’s get into our match prediction.

The 2024 Paris Olympics will be a historic one for Slovenia as they prepare to make their debut on the grandest stage of them all since taking up international competition back in 1992.

The Dragons earned their first-ever spot at the Olympics by finishing the qualification period as one of the four best national teams in the FIVB Ranking that had not yet qualified. 

Despite losing their last match at the Hubert Wagner Memorial tournament a couple of weeks ago, Slovenia have been in solid form of late, winning seven of their last 10 matches in all competitions. 

Meanwhile, Canada earned their spot at the Olympics by ranking second in Pool C of the FIVB Road to Paris Volleyball Qualifiers. This is the sixth time they will feature at the Games.

The Canucks have played in each of the last three Olympics but have never finished in the medals. Their best-ever result was way back in 1984 when they finished in fourth place.

When these two sides met in May, Slovenia came out on top 3-2.
