Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner looks to continue his unbeaten start to 2024. He’s the top seed in this indoor ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam and faces unseeded Milos Raonic for a place in the semi-finals. The semi-finals will see the winner of this match face either Emil Ruusuvouri or Tallon Griekspoor, both of whom are unseeded. Sinner has won all nine of matches played this year and that of course saw him land his first Grand Slam title last month in Melbourne. He’s fourth in the world rankings and top of the Live ATP Race. So far in this ATP 500 tournament he’s had wins over Botic van de Zandschulp and Gael Monfils without dropping a set. This is his first match against Milos Raonic.

Milos Raonic only gained direct entry into this tournament via his protected rankings. Getting to the quarter finals has seen his live ranking climb 83 places but is still only 222nd. His low ranking has been due to his time off court due to injury. The 33-year-old is a former Wimbledon finalist and in 2016 was ranked third in the world. Before this tournament he had only played the Australian Open and lost to Alex de Minaur in round one. He was level at one set each but then retired injured. He’s been injury free this week and has had wins over Denis Shapovalov (both sets won via a tie-break) and eighth seeded Alexander Bublik without dropping a set. This is his toughest task of the week and we tip Jannik Sinner to win in straight sets.
