Jannik Sinner vs Jordan Thompson Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Cincinnati Open

Top seed Jannik Sinner faces unseeded Jordan Thompson for a place in the Cincinnati Masters quarter-finals. The scheduled seeded player who could be faced in the last eight is Andrey Rublev who beat Sinner last week. Here's our match prediction.

Jannik Sinner remains top of the world rankings and the ATP Race. The Italian has already confirmed his place in the end--of-season ATP Tour Finals. It was in the Montreal quarter-finals that he lost to Rublev last week but wasn't 100% for that match.

That was played on a hard court as is this tournament. Sinner's second round match against Alex Michelsen was his 50th of the year. He won that in straight sets and that took his record for 2024 to an impressive 45-5.

This year has seen him win three hard court titles with successes in the Australian Open, Rotterdam indoor tournament and the Miami Masters. 

Jordan Thompson is at 32nd in the latest rankings. He remains in that place which would see him seeded at the upcoming US Open. He has had some good form on hard courts this year with two finals being reached, most recently in Atlanta.

Last week didn't go quite so well as he lost in round two to Alexander Zverev and only won a couple of games. Better form has been shown this week and he knocked out 13th seed Ugo Humbert in round one after losing the first set.

The Australian followed that up with a straight sets win over unseeded Sebastian Baez. This is his first match against Sinner and we tip the Italian to win in straight sets.
