Jannik Sinner vs Jiri Lehecka Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Beijing Open

It's been a tough week so far in Beijing for top seed Jannik Sinner. The world number one can't expect it to get easier as he faces unseeded Jiri Lehecka in the China Open quarter-finals. Here's our match prediction.

Sinner tops both the overall rankings and the ATP Live Race. He's won six titles this year including two Grand Slams in Australia and the USA. They are two of five titles he's won on hard courts in 2024.

This week has seen him play two matches and both have gone to a final set. The Italian lost the opening set in his first round match against Nicolas Jarry. He fought back like a champion though and only lost four games in the next two sets.

That took him into a second round match against lucky loser Roman Safiullin. Again, Sinner lost the first set but recovered to win the next two sets for the loss of only five games. He's won both of his previous matches against Lehecka, one on hard courts.

Jiri Lehecka is up to 33rd in the live rankings and is a place higher in the ATP Race. The Czech won the Adelaide hard court tournament at the start of this year. Two other quarter-finals were reached, including one at Indian Wells where he lost to Sinner.

The clay court season didn't go so well and in April he was injured in Rome and didn't return to action until August. This week has seen him get wins over Pedro Martinez and Roberto Bautista Agut.

He had to come from behind to get past Agut. The first set was lost  6-3 but the Spaniard only took three games off him in the next two. We go for over 19.5 games to be played in this quarter-final.
