Their season began with a 1-0 loss away to Preston conceding a penalty with just 11 minutes left to play and their manager was heavily critical afterwards claiming they ran too much in the first half but with no brain which is a good trick if you can do it. There was some improvement on Tuesday when they beat Chesterfield 4-1 at home in the EFL Cup. Home form was strong last year with 15 home wins. QPR won their opening fixture beating Reading 2-0 and followed that up with a 1-0 EFL Cup win over Northampton. Both goals in that win over Reading came from Conor Washington but their opponents did play a lot of the game with only ten men. It's away form that handicapped QPR last year when they finished a disappointing 18th only two points above the relegation zone. They lost 13 away games last season and have to improve on that this term. Go for Wednesday to get a narrow win in this game.
