Serena Williams vs Elena Rybakina Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA French Open

With one seed after another being knocked out of the French Open women's singles, Serena Williams is looking a potential finalist. The American takes on 21st seeded Elena Rybakina for a place in the last eight. Williams is the only top ten seed in the bottom half of the draw and the winner of this match faces either Victoria Azarenka or Anastasia Pavlyuchenko in the next round. While Iga Swiatek is in the tournament, it's not time to bet on Williams to finally equal the record number of Grand Slam women's singles titles. The 39-year-old made it to the last four in the Australian Open earlier this year. We didn't see her back on court until May when she played in the Rome Masters. That was one of only two clay court tournaments played to prepare for Roland Garros. Only one out of three matches was won, that against the then 572nd ranked Lisa Patago. In Paris this week, Williams has only dropped one set, that was to Mihaela Buzarnescu in the second round.

Elena Rybakina is ranked 22nd in the world and this is her first time in the fourth round of a Grand Slam event. Her highest ever ranking has been 17th in February of last year. Her results at Roland Garros will see her go back into the top 20. Her previous best in the French Open was only the second round, so a big improvement this year. Not that she hasn't had a reasonably comfortable draw. Wins have come against Elsa Jacquemot, Nao Hibino and Elina Vesnina.  Williams can get the win here and a side bet on a straight sets win is a good side bet.
