Serbia face Estonia in Pool A of the 2023 Men's European Volleyball Championships. They are third in the pool with six points from their three games, whlle Estonia are in fourth but three points behind them. The top four qualify for the final round of these championships. The three-time European champions have won two of their three pool matches played so far. They got off to a good start with a straight sets win over Switzerland. Each of the sets were won by at least six points. They did drop a set in their next match though. That was against Belgium and after winning the first set, Belgium drew level in the second. The next two sets were both won 25-20 to earn them their second pool win. It was always going to be difficult in their third match as they took on Italy. The Italians won that match in straight sets but they still remain in a good position to get out of this pool. After this match they face Germany who are in second place, three points ahead of them.

Estonia had a tough start to this pool with matches against Germany and Italy. As was fully expected, they didn't just fail to win either of those matches but they also failed to win a single set. They weren't disgraced though and did win 118 points. After those expected defeats, they took on Switzerland which was a far more winnable fixture. All was going well when they won the first couple of sets but then the Swiss fought back to win the next two. Estonia got themselves together again to win the final set 15-13. They are in the final qualifying spot and still to play fifth placed Belgium. They'll most likely need to win that to get through as we believe Serbia will win this match in straight sets.
