World number 25 Sebastian Korda will be up against wildcard Eliot Spizzirri in his next Miami Open assignment. The two are meeting in the second round with a match against Stefanos Tsitsipas or Chun Hsing Tseng awaiting the winner. We have a prediction for this clash below.

This is the first ever meeting between the two players and Korda will be looking to edge his compatriot. Korda’s form, however, doesn’t really support his ambitions for this match.

He is coming off a straight-sets defeat by Gael Monfils in the second round at Indian Wells. That marked his third straight defeat, and fourth in five matches. This run has the 24-year-old on a 3-4 record.

Spizzirri is only featuring in the main draw on the tour for the first time this season. He shocked Billy Harris in three sets in the first round, carrying on with the good form he showed at the challenger level.

The American earlier failed to get past the qualifying stages at the Australian Open and Indian Wells. However, he has recently reached two challenger finals and claimed one title, in San Diego.

Facing a top-30 player in shaky form presents Spizzirri a good opportunity to reach the third round of a Masters event for the first time. Ranked 134th, Spizzirri has compiled a 14-7 record, largely from Challenger events.
