Sebastian Korda vs Christian Garin Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Halle Open

Sebastian Korda is only two places higher in the rankings than opponent Cristian Garin. They meet in the first round of the Halle Open grass court tournament with the winner facing sixth seeded Pablo Carreno Busta in round two. Korda begins this tournament ranked 41st in the world and a good performance here might just see him be seeded at Wimbledon. He reached the fourth round at that Grand Slam last year beating two top 30 ranked players and has a better record on this surface than Garin. Korda got to the quarter finals in Halle last year. His best performance this year has been in reaching the Estoril semi-finals, an event played on clay.

Cristian Garin is the world number 43 and also reached the fourth round at Wimbledon last year, but had three first round exits before that. Not one top 100 ranked player was beaten on his way to that fourth round.  He was as high as 17th in the rankings last year but has slipped out of the top 40. The clay court season saw him get to a semi-final in Houston and the last eight in Rome. He's slightly ahead of Korda in terms of ranking points earned this year but there's only a gap of 20 points between them and most of Garin's have come from clay events. Korda can be backed to get the win here.
