Fifth seed Cameron Norrie will take on unseeded Sebastian Korda in the Queen’s Club Championship quarterfinals on Friday. Sebastian Korda has won both his matches in London, where he is making his debut, without dropping a set. He defeated crowd favourite Daniel Evans in the first round before stunning fourth seed Frances Tiafoe in the previous round. This should have the America brimming with confidence in making the semifinals especially as he has defeated Norrie more than once before. Korda and Norrie have played each other three times previously with Korda winning twice. This will however be their first encounter on grass. Cameron Norrie defeated Korda the last time they met, which was last season on his way to winning the Delray Beach Open. He will hope to replicate this result again and also go ahead and win his second title of the season. With the backing of the home crowd, this will be very achievable for the Brit especially as he has been a finalist here. Norrie is making his seventh appearance in London and finished as runners-up in 2021. He arrives for this match having compiled a record of 31 wins and 11 losses with two of his victories coming on grass. In the last round, he was forced to come back from a set down to win against Jordan Thompson. Norrie is currently ranked 13th in the live ranking. The winner of this match will advance to the semifinals to play either top-seed Carlos Alcaraz or unseeded Grigor Dimitrov.
