Sebastian Baez vs Tomas Martin Etcheverry Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Santiago Open

All the seeds in the clay court 2023 Chile Open have been beaten bar one. Third seeded Sebastian Baez is the sole survivor and takes on Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the semi-final. The winner of this all Argentinian clash will face either Nicolas Jarry or Jaume Munar in the final. Baez began this week ranked 35th in the world and winning this title will take him up to 34th as he bids to be seeded at the French Open. The Argentinian has a career high ranking of 31st achieved last August so he's closing in on that. He's having a successful South American clay court season and has already won the title in Cordoba. He reached the quarter finals in Rio last week and has continued that good form this week in Santiago. Two matches have been won to get to the last four and the 22-year-old is yet to drop a set.

Tomas Martin Etcheverry has plenty of reasons to celebrate beore this final. He's up to 68th in the live rankings and that's a new career high for the Argentinian player. This time last year he was 123rd in the rankings but his good clay court form has seen him rise up the list. Etcheverry got to the last eight in Buenos Aires and led Cameron Norrie by a set but only won three games in the next two. This week has seen him beat Fabio Fognini in round one before a three-set battle with second seeded Francisco Cerundolo. He followed that up with a convincing 6-2 6-1 quarter final victory over Dusan Lajovic. His only ATP Tour match against Baez was on clay in Lyon last year where he was beaten in straight sets winning just three games. They'd had four matches on lower tours (all in 2019) sharing them two each. Baez looks to be in the better form at present and can get the win here.
