Eighth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas takes on 12th-seeded Sebastian Baez in the last 16 of the Paris Olympics Men's Singles. For the winner, there's a match against either top seed Novak Djokovic or unseeded Dominik Koepfer. Here's our prediction for Tsitsipas v Baez.

Stefanos Tsitsipas will be pleased that the Olympic tournament is being played on clay. He has won one tournament on this surface in 2024 being successful in Monte Carlo. The Greek also reached the final in Barcelona and most recently, the semi-finals in Gstaad.

The world number 11s record at Roland Garros is a good one. He got to the last eight for the last two years and in 2021 was the runner-up. To reach round three in this tournament, he's beaten Zizou Bergs in three sets (losing the middle one) and then losing just three games against Britain's Daniel Evans.

To reach the last eight, Sebastian Baez has to beat Stefanos Tsitsipas for the first time. He's lost their two previous meetings and the most recent one was on clay last year. The world number 18 is in oood form on clay at present.

He played in Hamburg and Kitzbuhel in his last two tournaments, getting to a sem-final and a quarter-final respectively. That's a good return to form after losing his last four matches though three were on grass courts.
