Sara Errani faces former Champion Camila Osorio in the semi finals of the Copa Colsanitas in Bogota. Errani is looking to become the first Italian to reach the final of this event since Francesca Schiavone won it in 2017. She battled past Irina Bara in an exciting quarterfinal, eventually coming out on top 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 aces her experienced showed against the young Romanian. The Italian has been impressive on her first serve, landing 82% of them in the tournament so far and she has won both times she was pushed into a deciding set. Additionally, Errani has been the winner both times the two women have met previously although the last meeting was almost four years ago.

The Colombian came out on top of the battle of the champions in the quarterfinal, ending Tatjana Maria's reign as champion with a 1-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory. The sixth seed has been impressive on break points, winning 54% of those she has earned and she has also won 64% of the first serves she has landed at the Championship, a solid base on which to play from. The winner will face either Marie Bouzkova or Kamilla Rakhimova in Sunday's final.
