San Jose Sharks vs Seattle Kraken Prediction & Betting Tips - NHL

Early on Wednesday, the 13-32-4 San Jose Sharks will host the 21-18-10 Seattle Kraken. The Sharks will still have one more game to come before the All-Star Break as they take on their fellow Californians, the Anaheim Ducks the following night. They have had 11 and 12-game losing streaks this season which has put them second to bottom of the league with only the Chicago Blackhawks having a weaker record. Beaten by the Buffalo Sabres when last in action, that saw a three-game win streak come to an end. That has been their longest one of the season, picking up their victories over the Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings and New York Rangers. Two of those are solid performances and their recent home form has, in general, not been too bad despite not picking up many wins. Captain Logan Couture is finally back from injury, playing four games this season and his return seems to have boosted the team.
Things have been streaky of late for the Kraken. An eight-game losing streak came to an end on December 12 before a nine-game win streak started on the 20th! They have not been helped by being in a Pacific Division that is stacked with talent. The Vancouver Canucks have the most wins in the league, the Vegas Golden Knights are the defending champions and the Edmonton Oilers have won 16 games straight. Two points out of a playoff berth as things stand, they will be hoping that this is the opportunity they need to get those points on the board heading into the break. Compared to last year, it has been a lack of offence that has been holding them back with scoring also streaky. They have been doing well in that sense of late and should be able to keep it up against a weak Sharks team.
