The final game of the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs sees a rematch of last year’s Wild Card matchup when the Dallas Cowboys take on the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium. San Francisco are the NFL’s hottest team, ending the regular season on a 10 game winning streak before dispatching of the Seattle Seahawks 41-23 in the first round of the playoffs last week. It’s now 11 wins in a row for the 49ers who haven’t lost since week 7 back in October when they got off to a shaky 3-4 start. The Niners finished the regular season with a 13-4 record, topping the NFC West division but coming up a game short of the 14-3 Eagles who would ultimately claim the conference’s best record. San Francisco has a remarkable story at quarterback as they are being led by rookie play caller Brock Purdy who took over in week 13 after injuries to the 49ers two first choice QBs. Purdy, who was the final selection in the 2022 NFL draft (#262), has won the starting role with a 7-0 record and throwing for 13 touchdowns, 4 interceptions and 1,374 yards. 

Looking to put an end to the 49ers Cinderella quarterback story are the experienced Dallas Cowboys who ended the regular season with a 12-5 record to finish second in the stacked NFC East division. Dallas have been one of the NFL’s best teams this season and have only lost one game since week 6 in regulation as two of their defeats came in overtime during that stretch. The Cowboys recovered from a 26-6 loss to Washington to cap off the regular season with a dominant 31-14 win over the Tom Brady led Bucs in the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs. Dallas, who won eight of their nine games in their home stadium this season, will have to overcome their middling away performances which saw them win just four of eight road games. Coupled with the fact that San Francisco have only lost once at home so far this season and Dallas could be looking at another disappointing early exit as they seek their first Conference Championship appearance in more than 25 years.
