The San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors will face off at the AT&T Center in their final game of the 2024-25 NBA season on Sunday. The Spurs (33-48) are 13th in the Western Conference, while the Raps (30-51) are 11th in the East. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

After a promising start to the season, the San Antonio Spurs struggled to maintain consistency, and after Victor Wembanyama’s injury, they never really looked likely to challenge for playoff qualification. 

San Antonio will end the season in 13th place in the West and with at least 11 more wins than they managed last term. They have now failed to reach the postseason since 2019. 

In addition to Wembanyama, De’Aaron Fox has been out for the last month with injury. Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson missed their 117-98 loss to the Suns on Friday but are expected to feature in the season finale. 

Meanwhile, with 30 wins heading into the final day, it has been a slightly improved season for the Toronto Raptors, but it was still not enough, as they trail play-in bound Chicago by seven games. 

Toronto are now set to miss the playoffs for a third consecutive year and for a fourth time in the last five seasons. However, they will want to end the term on a positive note, hopefully to build momentum for next season. 

The Raps lost their last match 124-102 to the Dallas Mavericks on Friday when they sent out their 39th different group of starters, which is the most in the team’s 30-year history in the NBA.
