The Phoenix Suns have clinched the Pacific Divsion of the NBA Western Conference. Not a bad feat considering both the teams from Los Angeles are in that division. The Suns have a 49-21 season record and bid to reach the half century when travelling to the San Antonio Spurs. They are second overall in the Western Conference with only Utah Jazz (51-20) ahead of them. The Suns have won 22 of their 34 away matches this season, that's more than any other team in the NBA. Their most recent match saw them edge out the Portland Trail Blazers by a single point, a strong third quarter was the deciding factor in that match. 

The San Antonio Spurs have a 33-37 season record and that places them third in the Western Confernce Southwest Division. They are 10th overall in the Western Conference and that has seen them squeeze into the play-ins in the final qualifying spot. The Spurs are one of those strange teams that have performed better on the road than at home. While only 14 out of 34 at home have been won, 19 have been won on the road. Three of their last four matches have been lost and the Suns can get the win here on a -4.5 spread.
