The Cleveland Cavaliers are away to the San Antonio Spurs for their next assignment in the NBA. They enter this game as the top seed in the Eastern Conference while the Spurs are 13th in the West. Read on for our prediction of this match.

The Spurs got back to winning ways last time out, overpowering the Nuggets 113-106 on the road. They had lost five straight going into Denver and are now seeking to win consecutive fixtures for the first time since January.

In that five-game losing streak, SA lost to the Cavs 124-116 in Cleveland. Currently being led by assistant coach Mitch Johnson, the Spurs are 12 games below .500 and will finish the campaign with a losing record.

Their chances of making the postseason are also slim going into the final six matches.

The Cavaliers have already qualified for the playoffs and are now just fine-tuning their rotation for the postseason. Kenny Atkinson’s men will secure first place in the East if they win against the Spurs.

One of two teams to hit the 60-win mark, the Cavs, who are 61-15, are five games clear of their closest challengers. They seem to be back to their stride after a four-game losing run in March had started to raise some eyebrows.

Cleveland defeated the Knicks 124-105 at home last time out.
