Rafael Nadal is probably still complaining about the fact he’s only the third seed for this tournament. He’s ranked second in the world but they do things a bit different at Wimbledon so judged on his form here, he’s only third.  That’s understandable as Nadal’s semi-final appearance here last year was his best performance since losing in the 2011 final. Nadal is chasing his third Wimbledon title but his first since 2010. He has only dropped one set so far this year, that was in his stormy second round clash with Nick Kyrgios. It’s been a successful year for Nadal with a run to the final at the Australian Open and of course another French Open title. A win here will make it six straight semi-finals in Grand Slam tournaments.

Sam Querrey may not be seeded for this tournament but has shown plenty of signs that he is a danger to anyone on grass. He may only have a world ranking of 65 but if every tournament was played on grass, he’d be a lot higher. Querrey reached the quarter finals here in 2016 and the semi-finals the following year. He knocked out fifth seeded Dominic Thiem in the first round this year and has only dropped two sets on his way to this quarter final. On four occasions Querrey has beaten top ten ranked players at this tournament and that includes previous winners Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic. He has played seven tie breaks in this tournament (a bet on one in this match could be a winner) and this heavy server may well be able to win a set in this match. Go for Nadal to win this match by three sets to one.
