The West: Group C enters the final round of games as the first-place Sacramento Kings host the third-placed Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night. The Kings have a perfect 3-0 record and can wrap up their quarter-final spot with a victory here. The Warriors are 2-1 and will have to win this game to put themselves in contention. A Golden State win combined with a Timberwolves loss would see the Dubs top the group. However, should Minnesota and Golden State both win, the group winner will be decided by points differential as there would be a three-way tie for first. Sacramento currently holds a significant advantage in that respect with a +29 points differential compared to the Warriors’ +5 and the Timberwolves -3.

Sacramento put an end to a two-game losing streak with a 124-111 win over Minnesota on Friday. The victory moves them up to 9-6 on the season and has them positioned sixth in the Western Conference. It was a strong finish to an overall successful six-game road trip which saw the Kings go 4-2. They now return home to the Golden 1 Center where they have posted a 4-1 record on the season. Sacramento’s scoring output sees a massive spike up to 120.8 points per game when playing in front of the home fans compared to 112.9 on the road.

After putting Rudy Gobert in a headlock during a scuffle with the Timberwolves, Draymond Green has finished serving his five-game suspension and is back in the lineup. His return is much-needed for the Dubs who went 2-3 and gave up 121.8 points per game in his absence. With Green in the lineup, the Warriors are 5-4 and are allowing opponents 111.0 points per game. Their most recent outing came in a 118-112 win over the Spurs on Friday. It was the Warriors’ second in the last three games as they look to have recovered from an ugly six-game losing streak earlier in the month.
