It's been a decent start to the NBA season for the Sacramento Kings considering their tough fixture list. They are 4-4 so far and look to get win number five against the Charlotte Hornets who are 5-4 for the season. The Kings are fourth in the Western Conference, ahead of the LA Clippers but behind Golden State, Phoenix and the LA Lakers, not three teams that are easy to get ahead of. They are eighth overall in the Western Conference, so in with a chance of the play-offs. That would be important for them as they have a 15-year play-off drought. The Kings lost two of their first three games but then had wins over Phoenix and New Orleans before losing the next two. They come into this match in winning form though, having defeated New Orleans at home by 13 points. 

Charlotte are third in the Eastern Conference Southeast Division, behind Miami and Washington. Overall, they are ninth in what is a tight Eastern Conference this year. The new season got off to a great start for them with three wins in a row. The next four games produced two wins and two defeats but at 5-2 they were looking good. However, the last two matches have both been lost, making it three out of the last four lost. The most recent match saw them lose by 22 points against Golden State. This will be closer but Sacramento can make home advantage pay and win the game.
